Hope For Tomatoes
So here we are entering the doggie days of summer. Not much is going on sports-wise (unless you're a baseball fan which I am not) and the presidential election is at a point where only the most die-hard political-junkies are actually sitting indoors writing in blogs, watching TV news and reading newspapers. Ordinary people are outside in the hot, nurturing sun getting tans and swimming in cool, clear waters. Normal men are showing off their muscles while watching scantily-clad babes frolic in the sand. Normal women are out being beautiful and showing off their bodily goods in bikinis, the hard-earned results off all the exercise and dieting they've engaged in during the winter. I walked through town yesterday and say a few hot babes tending to their gardens, realizing there is nothing more beautiful, more inspiring that watching a pretty girl out in the green embrace of nature, plucking red ripe tomatoes. While I hear stories of tomatoes being contaminated with salmonella throughout the country it is so nice and comforting to see women where I live holding their big, round ripe tomatoes in their hands, smiling at me as I walk by; that twinkle in their eyes reflects from the orange sun's warm rays and tells me that somehow everything will be alright. There will be HOPE for tomatoes as soon as everyone agrees to only eat the ones grown in the gardens of gorgeous, hot babes. And there will be HOPE for America as soon as Barack Obama is elected president!Labels: barack_obama, obama_art, political_art, presidential_election
